Companies across Wiltshire are being reminded to check they have a TV Licence covering their individual workplaces.

With major sporting events and national celebrations in the months ahead, companies in Swindon are being told their staff, contractors and visitors may want to watch live TV on your premises.

TV Licensing in the West have set up a useful template to help companies with  a TV viewing policy for your business.

By sharing it with employees and visitors, business can let them know:
Whether or not your business is covered by a TV Licence and they can watch live TV legally.
Whether or not you allow them to watch live TV.

Warren Carr from TV Licensing covering Wiltshire told Jack FM: "The rule is you need a TV Licence if your watching tv in any medium, whether it's a tv, computer, laptop, tablet, mobile phone or a games console - as it is being shown live on the TV.  For most people that will mean you will need a TV Licence if you plan to allow staff to watch any of the Euro matches at work, Wimbledon or the Olympics."
