Moirai Capital Investments officially take over the running of the Swindon leisure centre today.
The company bought the site from the Council, because the authority couldn't afford the centre's £20million refurbishment bill. It also has a £3million maintenance backlog and requires a £400,000 a year subsidy to run.
Moirai have got big plans for the site. Initially, as well updating the facilities, they'll renew the dome, build a larger gym and create a new skate park.
But the longer term plan for the centre is to create an indoor ski slope, a new arena and more facilities for activities like indoor parachuting and ice climbing walls.
Project Manager, Chris Lewis said: "We'll be undertaking various consultations with sports groups and others to make sure we can make this facility a regional destination, that's the whole idea.
"We're working very, very hard with the council at the moment and the likelihood is that we're looking at getting the master plan into the council my March of next year."
