
A man is being treated for life threatening head injuries, after being shot at a solicitors office in Devizes, yesterday.
Wiltshire Police were called to a firearms incidents just before 3pm on Monday July 2nd, after reports that a man had entered the officers of Morris, Goddard and Ward Solicitors on St John's Street armed with a gun.
He fired a single shot, injuring one man, and then drove off from the scene.
Specialist Armed Response Officers then arrested a suspect in Rowde.
A 62 year old man from the local area remains in custody at Melksham Police Station.
A weapon that was believed to have been used in the incident has been recovered.
The male victim sustained life threatening head injuries and was airlifted to Frenchay Hospital. His family are with him at the hospital. No one else was injured in the incident.
