It appears the poor summer has had a positive effect on The Brunel Shopping Centre.
Bosses have reported an increase in footfall for June compared to the same time last year.
Over a million people came through the doors last month with an increase of 3% on June 2011.
It's also translated into more sales for the retailers who say they've seen an increase of 2.9% for the month.
Kerry Hunter, Marketing Supervisor for The Brunel, said: "A combination of the poor summer weather and retailer offers has meant that we saw our rise in sales reflect the rise in footfall. This is above the national average of a rise of 1.4% of sales in June nationally.
"Swindon as a whole seems to be doing quite well. The footfall in the town centre is doing well, as well as The Brunel. So we seem to be bucking the national trend which is great news."
